Deinogesterol Plus Tablet 21

Deinogesterol Plus Tablet 21 is used as an oral contraceptive to prevent pregnancy when taken as prescribed. It is also used to manage acne by regulating hormonal imbalance and may be prescribed for premenstrual dysphoric disorder to reduce symptoms such as mood changes, irritability, bloating, and breast tenderness.

• Swallow Deinogesterol Plus Tablet 21 whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush or chew the tablet, as this may affect the way the medication is absorbed in the body.
• Do not change the tablet dose or take them more often than prescribed.

Deinogesterol Plus Tablet 21 is administered orally.

• Ethinyl estradiol, an active ingredient in Deinogesterol Plus Tablet 21, is a synthetic form of the hormone oestrogen. It helps to prevent pregnancy by suppressing the release of eggs from the ovaries (ovulation). In addition, it causes the cervical mucus to thicken, thus making it harder for sperm to pass through the uterus and reach an egg. Additionally, ethinyl estradiol plays a role in thinning the uterus lining, making it less suitable for the implantation of a fertilised egg.
• Dienogest, another active ingredient in this tablet, is a synthetic progestin. It is similar to the natural hormone progesterone. It provides contraceptive effects by suppressing ovulation, thereby preventing the egg release from the ovaries. Also, it works to modify the cervical mucus, making it more difficult for sperm to reach the uterus. Furthermore, Dienogest helps in altering the uterus lining, making it less receptive to implantation.
