Enzomac Plus Tablet is used to relieve pain, swelling and inflammation in conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, back pain, sprains, and pain and swelling after injury, surgery or dental procedures. It is a combination medicine containing diclofenac 50mg, which belongs to a class of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), along with trypsin 48mg and bromelain 90mg, which are proteolytic enzymes, and rutoside 100mg, a plant flavonoid.
This medicine works by blocking chemicals in the body called prostaglandins that cause pain and swelling, while the enzymes and rutoside may help reduce local swelling. Take it after food as directed by your doctor, using the lowest dose that works for the shortest time.
Do not take it with other NSAIDs such as ibuprofen or aspirin unless your doctor advises, and avoid alcohol, which raises the risk of stomach bleeding. Gentle movement and physiotherapy, where suitable, can support recovery.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have a stomach ulcer or bleeding now or in the past, heart disease, a previous stroke, high blood pressure, kidney or liver problems, asthma, a pineapple allergy, or take blood thinners. Do not take it in the last three months of pregnancy. Stop and seek urgent help for black stools, vomiting blood, chest pain, sudden weakness or wheezing.
