ENZOMAC Ointment is used to treat localised skin infections, such as impetigo (crusty sores), infected hair follicles and minor wounds that have become red and painful. It is highly effective at killing the bacteria responsible for these infections.
It contains mupirocin, a topical antibiotic that stops bacteria from producing the proteins they need to grow and multiply, which clears the infection and helps the skin heal, reducing the associated redness and discomfort.
Apply a thin layer to the affected area, usually two to three times daily as your doctor advises, and continue for the full course even if the skin appears to have improved.
Avoid contact with the eyes, and wash your hands after application unless the hands are the area being treated. Tell your doctor if the infection does not improve within the expected time.
