Mupi Ointment 5gm

Mupi Ointment is used to treat bacterial skin infections such as impetigo, boils, and infected hair follicles. It works by stopping bacterial growth, reducing redness, swelling, and discharge, and promoting faster healing when applied directly to the affected skin area.

• Wash the affected area thoroughly with soap and water and pat it dry.
• Take a small amount of Mupi Ointment cream and apply it on the affected area, covering the entire infected skin area.
• Gently massage the cream on the skin until it is fully absorbed.
• Wash your hands after applying the cream, unless you are treating your hands.
• Continue using the cream for the full course of treatment, even if your symptoms improve. Do not stop using the cream without consulting your doctor.
• If you experience any skin irritation or an allergic reaction to Mupi Ointment, stop using it immediately and seek medical attention.

Mupi Ointment is for external use only.

Mupi Ointment contains the following component:

• Mupirocin (2% w/w): It is an antibacterial agent that works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis through an enzyme called isoleucyl-tRNA synthetase. By inhibiting this enzyme, it prevents the incorporation of isoleucine into bacterial proteins, ultimately disrupting bacterial protein synthesis and leading to the inhibition of bacterial growth.

• Store Mupi Ointment at room temperature between 20°C to 25°C.
• Keep the tube tightly closed when not in use.
• Do not freeze Mupi Ointment.
• Keep the medication away from heat and direct sunlight.
• Do not use Mupi Ointment after the expiration date printed on the tube.

• Ensure regular and thorough handwashing to minimise the risk of skin infections.
• Swiftly clean and cover cuts, scrapes, wounds, or insect bites to prevent infection.
• Bandage skin infections after proper cleaning and drying to aid healing.
• Reduce skin-to-skin contact with individuals who have skin infections to prevent transmission. 
• Safely discard used gloves and bandages in designated garbage bins.
• Refrain from sharing personal items like towels, soap, razors, clothing, or toys to prevent contagion.
• Regularly clean and sanitise shared bedding or toys to maintain a hygienic environment.
