Dytor Plus 5 Tablet is used to manage fluid retention (oedema) in adults with heart failure, liver cirrhosis or kidney conditions, and to help control resistant high blood pressure. It is a combination diuretic medicine containing torasemide, a loop diuretic, and spironolactone, a potassium-sparing diuretic.
This medicine removes excess fluid while helping reduce potassium loss. Take it in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor, preferably in the morning. Regular blood tests help your doctor check your blood salts and kidney function.
Following the salt and fluid limits your doctor advises and weighing yourself regularly help you track fluid build-up. Avoid potassium-based salt substitutes unless your doctor advises them.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems or raised potassium levels, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Report muscle cramps, extreme thirst, very low urine output or an irregular heartbeat immediately. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
