Dexona Injection is used to manage severe inflammation and allergic emergencies.

Administer Dexona Injection as suggested below:

• The injection is administered intramuscularly, intravenously, or by local infiltration depending on your doctor's advice.

• Ensure to use the injection immediately after opening the ampoule.

• Dispose of any unused portion right away after administration.

• Discard the injection if any visible particulate matter appears.

Dexona Injection contains Dexamethasone (4MG) which acts on the body in the following ways:

• Binds to Glucocorticoid Receptors: Dexamethasone binds with receptors present inside your cells. This combination then moves to the nucleus where it can influence gene activity.

• Inhibits Synthesis of Pro-inflammatory Mediators: Dexamethasone reduces inflammation by preventing the making of substances like prostaglandins and leukotrienes that cause inflammation.

• Reduces Leukocyte Migration: It slows down the movement of white blood cells to areas where inflammation is happening, thus reducing swelling and discomfort.

• Suppresses Immune System: Dexamethasone dampens down your immune system by limiting the activation and spread of T-cells - a type of white blood cell that fights off foreign substances in your body. It also reduces the production of certain chemicals like interleukin-2 and interferon-gamma that aid in immune responses.

• Store protected from light at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.
