Depotex 8 Tablet is used to treat a wide range of severe inflammatory and autoimmune conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, asthma and other allergic conditions. It also helps manage inflammatory bowel disease, certain skin and eye disorders, and some blood-related conditions, providing relief from swelling and controlling an overactive immune response.
This tablet contains methylprednisolone, a corticosteroid. Take it exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually with food to reduce stomach upset. Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly, as the dose often needs to be reduced gradually. Continue treatment for the full duration advised, even if you start to feel better.
Since this medicine can affect bone strength and blood sugar, a diet with adequate calcium and vitamin D, along with regular weight-bearing exercise, can help protect your bones. Limiting salt and added sugar in your diet may also help manage blood pressure and blood sugar levels during treatment.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have any infection, diabetes, high blood pressure, stomach ulcers or mental health concerns, and about other medicines you take. Report any signs of infection, mood changes or muscle weakness. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before use.
