Defcort Tm Capsule 10

Defcort TM Capsule is used to manage urinary difficulties and symptoms associated with an enlarged prostate gland in adult men.

Uses of Defcort TM Capsule are:

• Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH): Eases urinary symptoms caused by prostate enlargement in men.
• Improved Urine Flow: Helps relax prostate and bladder neck muscles to facilitate easier urination.
• Reduced Urinary Frequency: Helps lessen frequent urge to urinate, especially during the night.

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid opening, crushing or chewing the capsule.

• Remember to take the medicine approximately 30 minutes after the same meal each day to ensure consistent absorption.

• Always consult your doctor for any specific questions or concerns about how to take this medicine.

Defcort TM Capsule is taken orally.

Defcort TM Capsule contains two components:

• Deflazacort (30 mg): This corticosteroid exerts strong anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects. It works by lowering inflammation and modifying the response of the immune system. Within the context of DMD, deflazacort can slow down the progression of muscle weakness and enhance muscle strength.

• Tamsulosin Hydrochloride (0.4 mg): As an alpha-1 adrenergic receptor antagonist, tamsulosin relaxes smooth muscles in the prostate and bladder neck. Its action eases urine flow and lessens symptoms of BPH such as frequent urination, weak stream, and incomplete bladder emptying. Tamsulosin primarily targets alpha-1A adrenergic receptors found in the prostate

• Store Defcort TM Capsule in a cool, dry place.

• The ideal storage temperature is between 20°C to 25°C.

• Shield the medicine from light.

• Keep it out of reach of children.

• Always ensure you use the medication before its expiry date.

• If you are dealing with Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), maintaining a balanced diet can help manage this condition. Include high-fibre foods in your diet to aid digestion and prevent constipation, which can be a side effect of Defcort TM Capsule.
