Dapzigard 5 Tablet 15 is used to help control blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes. It also helps protect the heart and kidneys, and is used in some people with heart failure or chronic kidney disease to reduce the risk of complications.

It contains dapagliflozin, which belongs to a group of medicines called SGLT2 inhibitors. It works by helping the kidneys remove excess sugar and salt from the body in the urine. Take it daily, with or without food, as prescribed.

Staying well hydrated, keeping up good personal hygiene to reduce the risk of infections, a balanced diet and regular activity support better control alongside this medicine.

Tell your doctor about any kidney problems or repeated urinary or genital infections before starting, and about other medicines you take. Report severe stomach pain with vomiting, signs of dehydration, or symptoms of a urinary or genital infection.

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
Avoid crushing, breaking, or chewing the tablet.
