Composition

Dapagliflozin (10 Mg) + Sitagliptin (100 Mg)

Dapavel S 10/100 Tablet is used to manage type 2 diabetes in adults. It is a combination antidiabetic medicine containing dapagliflozin (an SGLT2 inhibitor) and sitagliptin (a DPP-4 inhibitor).

It is used when diet and exercise alone do not control blood glucose well enough. Swallow it whole, with or without food, in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor.

Eat regular balanced meals, limit sugary foods and drinks, stay physically active as advised and drink enough fluids to avoid dehydration.

Before starting, tell your doctor if you have kidney problems, repeated urinary or genital infections, dehydration or a history of pancreatitis, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Ask your doctor about pregnancy or breastfeeding. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.

Dapavel S 10/100 Tablet is used to improve blood glucose control in adults with type 2 diabetes.

Uses of Dapavel S 10/100 Tablet are:

Type 2 Diabetes: Helps control high blood glucose in adults with type 2 diabetes.
When Lifestyle Measures Are Not Enough: Used when diet and exercise alone do not control blood glucose well enough.
Combined Treatment: Uses two antidiabetic medicines together in one tablet.

Dapavel S 10/100 Tablet 10 should be swallowed whole with a glass of water.
Do not crush or chew the tablet.
The medicine can be taken with or without food, but try to take it the same way every time.
It's crucial not to stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor.

Dapagliflozin (10 mg): This SGLT2 inhibitor blocks the reabsorption of glucose in your kidneys. This leads to the excretion of excess glucose through urine, reducing the amount of sugar in your bloodstream.
Sitagliptin (100 mg): As a DPP-4 inhibitor, sitagliptin inhibits certain hormones, stimulating the pancreas to produce more insulin when blood glucose levels are high. It also decreases the production of glucagon by the pancreas, reducing the amount of glucose produced by the liver.

Pregnancy

One of the active ingredients in Dapavel S 10/100 Tablet 10, dapagliflozin, is contraindicated during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy. If you are pregnant, proceed with caution and consult your doctor before starting this medicine.

Breastfeeding
