Concor Plus Tablet 10 is used to manage high blood pressure. It is a combination medicine containing bisoprolol and hydrochlorothiazide, belonging to the beta-blocker and thiazide diuretic classes of medicines.

Cardiovascular Event Prevention: Helps prevent major cardiovascular events such as heart attacks and strokes.

To correctly use Concor Plus Tablet, consider these steps:

Follow the instructions, dosage and timings prescribed by your doctor thoroughly.
Do not change the dosage on your own.
Maintain the diet recommended, and do not engage in activities forbidden by your doctor.

Concor Plus Tablet is taken orally.

Concor Plus Tablet 10 may cause some side effects that are usually mild and go away as your body adjusts to the medicine.

A few common side effects of Concor Plus Tablet 10:

General: Fatigue.
Nervous system: Dizziness and headache.
Digestive: Nausea, constipation and diarrhoea.
Circulatory: Cold extremities and slow heart rate (bradycardia).
Metabolic: Increased blood uric acid levels, which can sometimes lead to gout, and altered blood lipid (cholesterol and triglyceride) levels.

If any side effect does not improve or becomes serious, speak to your doctor.

Management Of Side Effects:

Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless, which resolve upon discontinuing the use of Concor Plus Tablet. However, if you experience any serious side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms, please consult your doctor.

Here are some guidelines to manage a couple of common side effects:

Nausea: Follow the diet and timings prescribed by your doctor. If the problem persists, inform your doctor.
Constipation: If you have this problem for a significant amount of time after taking the medicine, seek advice from your doctor.

Concor Plus Tablet consists of two active components:

Bisoprolol (5 mg): As a selective beta-1 adrenergic receptor blocker, Bisoprolol acts on your heart. It reduces both your heart rate and the force of your heart contractions, lowering your heart's workload and oxygen demand. By enhancing the efficiency of your heart's pumping action, Bisoprolol aids in reducing blood pressure.
Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5 mg): This thiazide diuretic contributes to lowering blood pressure by increasing urine production, which helps remove excess water and salt from your body. Over time, it also relaxes and widens your blood vessels, enhancing blood flow and contributing further to managing high blood pressure.

The combined activity of these two medicines results in a more significant reduction in blood pressure than either component alone.

Pregnancy

Concor Plus Tablet is contraindicated during pregnancy. If you are pregnant or planning to conceive, make sure to discuss this with your doctor before starting this medicine.

Breastfeeding

Alcohol
