Cof-Ryl Syrup is used to relieve cough, chest congestion, and throat irritation caused by the common cold, flu, or allergic conditions such as allergic rhinitis. It helps loosen mucus and phlegm, easing breathing and improving overall comfort.
It contains diphenhydramine 14.08 mg, ammonium chloride 138 mg and sodium citrate 57.03 mg per 5 mL. These medicines reduce allergy symptoms and help loosen mucus so it is easier to cough up.
Drinking warm fluids, using a humidifier, and avoiding smoke, dust, and other airborne irritants can help ease your cough and congestion. If your symptoms are related to allergies, avoiding known triggers such as pollen or pet dander can also help.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have glaucoma, difficulty passing urine, or a breathing condition such as asthma, as antihistamines can worsen these conditions. This medicine may cause drowsiness, so avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how it affects you. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
