Cilny 10 Tablet is primarily used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) and reduce the risk of serious cardiovascular events, including heart attacks and strokes. This medication contains Cilnidipine, a calcium channel blocker that works by relaxing and widening blood vessels, which in turn improves overall blood flow and effectively lowers blood pressure.

Here are the instructions on how to take Cilny 10 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet with a glass of water.

• Refrain from crushing, chewing or breaking the tablet.

• It's best to take your medicine at the same time each day.

• Always remember not to exceed the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

• Before discontinuing this medicine, it's important to consult your doctor first.

Cilny 10 Tablet contains cilnidipine (10 mg), which acts in the body as follows:

• Calcium Channel Blocking: Cilnidipine works by blocking the movement of calcium into the smooth muscle cells lining small arteries and arterioles. Calcium is required for these vascular smooth muscles to contract.

• Vascular Relaxation: By decreasing calcium within these cells, cilnidipine relaxes and widens blood vessels. This makes it easier for blood to flow through them.

• Blood Pressure Reduction: The relaxation of blood vessels reduces peripheral vascular resistance – which is essentially the resistance that blood has to overcome to circulate through your body – thereby lowering your blood pressure.

• Selective Action: Cilnidipine acts selectively on the blood vessels with less effect on the heart. This avoids excessive lowering of blood pressure or a rapid increase in heart rate known as reflex tachycardia.
