Ceflox-D Eye/Ear Drops are used to manage acute otitis media in pediatric patients with tympanostomy tubes and treat acute otitis externa in patients of all ages, including children, adults, and the elderly.

To use Ceflox-D Eye/Ear Drops correctly, follow these steps:

• Warm the bottle by holding it in your hand for a minute or two.

• Lie down with the affected ear facing up.

• Carefully instil the drops into the ear canal.

• Remain in this position for about a minute to allow the drops to penetrate.

• Always consult your doctor for more specific instructions on how to use this medicine.

Ceflox-D Eye/Ear Drops contains three active ingredients:

• Ciprofloxacin (0.3%): Ciprofloxacin is an antibiotic that prevents bacterial DNA replication and transcription by inhibiting two key enzymes DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV. This action helps fight against a range of bacteria commonly causing ear and eye infections.

• Betamethasone (0.01%): This ingredient is a potent corticosteroid that reduces inflammation and swelling associated with ear and eye infections. It works by suppressing the release of substances that cause inflammation while increasing the production of proteins that reduce inflammation.

• Benzalkonium Chloride (0.02%): This compound serves as a preservative in the formulation, keeping it safe from bacterial and fungal contamination. It works by disrupting the cell membranes of bacteria and fungi, thus preventing their growth within the multi-dose container.

• Store Ceflox-D Eye/Ear Drops at a temperature below 25°C.

• Shield the product from light to keep it effective.
