Carvistar 6.25 Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension). It is also used to treat angina pectoris, a condition causing severe chest pain due to reduced blood flow to the heart, and to manage heart failure, where the heart is unable to pump enough blood to meet the body's needs. It contains carvedilol.
It belongs to the beta-blocker group of medicines. Take it as prescribed by your doctor, with or without food. Continue the medicine for the full duration prescribed, even if you feel well, as stopping it suddenly can worsen your heart condition.
Reducing salt in your diet, staying physically active as advised by your doctor, maintaining a healthy weight, and limiting alcohol intake help support better blood pressure and heart health alongside this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have asthma or breathing problems, a slow heart rate, or any other heart or liver condition, and about other medicines you take. Report unusual breathlessness, a very slow heartbeat, or fainting spells. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before use.
