Budamate 200 Transcaps are used as daily maintenance treatment for asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in adults and children over 12 years. They contain budesonide, a corticosteroid, and formoterol, a bronchodilator.
This medicine helps keep the airways open and reduces how often breathing difficulty occurs. Use it with the inhaler device in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor, and continue using it even when you feel well. It is not meant for sudden breathing difficulty, so keep a reliever inhaler with you.
Rinse your mouth with water after each use to reduce the risk of oral thrush. Avoiding triggers such as smoke, dust and cold air, and staying up to date with flu and pneumonia vaccinations, help protect your lungs.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have allergies, tuberculosis or another infection, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Tell your doctor if your symptoms get worse despite regular use. Follow the prescribed treatment plan, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop using the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
