Britzilam 50 Tablet is used to treat partial-onset seizures in adults and adolescents with epilepsy. It is a single-ingredient anti-epileptic medicine containing brivaracetam.
It helps control seizures that start in one area of the brain, whether or not they spread, and reduces how often they occur. Take it with or without food in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor, at the same times each day. Do not stop it suddenly, as this can trigger seizures.
Keep a regular sleep routine, manage stress and avoid alcohol. Avoid driving until you know how this medicine affects you.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems or a history of depression, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Speak to your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Report sudden mood changes, agitation or thoughts of harming yourself straight away. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
