Britzilam 50 Tablet is used in adults and adolescents with epilepsy to help control partial-onset seizures.

Uses of Britzilam 50 Tablet are:

• Partial-onset Seizures: Helps manage seizures where abnormal activity starts in one part of the brain, with or without secondary generalisation.

While taking Britzilam 50, kindly follow these instructions:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• Taking this medicine is usually done twice daily, with or without food.

Britzilam 50 is taken orally.

Britzilam 50 contains brivaracetam (50 mg), which works on your body in the following ways:

• Binding to Synaptic Vesicle Protein 2A (SV2A): Brivaracetam attaches itself to SV2A proteins found in nerve cells in your brain.

• Suppressing Abnormal Electrical Activity: By binding to these specific sites, brivaracetam suppresses the abnormal electrical activity that leads to seizures.

• Slowing Down Nerve Impulse Conduction: This action reduces the frequency and spread of nerve impulses, helping stabilise the excessive neuronal excitation associated with epileptic disorders.

• Store Britzilam 50 in a cool, dry place at room temperature, which is typically around 25 degrees Celsius.

• Keep it away from excessive heat and direct sunlight.

• Ensure the medicine container is closed tightly when not in use to prevent exposure to air and moisture.
