CompositionBiopect 1000 Injection 1 is used to treat severe bacterial infections such as pneumonia, skin infections, urinary tract infections, blood infections (sepsis), brain infections (meningitis), stomach infections, and febrile neutropenia in adults. It uses meropenem, an antibiotic from the carbapenem class, to stop bacterial growth and fight infections effectively.
This injection is also given to adult patients with a fever and low neutrophil count, where a bacterial infection is suspected. It also helps manage fevers in neutropenic patients suspected to be caused by bacterial infections.
