Lumigan 0.01% Eye Drops is an ophthalmic solution used to lower high fluid pressure inside the eye in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. Reducing eye pressure helps prevent damage to the optic nerve and protects against potential vision loss.
It contains bimatoprost, a prostaglandin analogue. Instil the prescribed number of drops into the affected eye(s) as directed by your eye specialist. If you wear contact lenses, remove them before applying the drops and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them.
Attending regular eye examinations to monitor your intraocular pressure and maintaining proper eye hygiene are essential parts of your eye care routine alongside using these drops.
Before using this medicine, inform your eye doctor if you have had eye surgery (such as cataract surgery), active eye infections, low blood pressure, or a slow heart rate. Contact your doctor immediately if you develop eye pain, swelling, or sudden vision changes.
