Betasalic S Lotion 25 ML is used for the following:

• Soothing symptoms of psoriasis, a condition causing red, flaky, crusty patches of skin
• Calming down eczema, which causes itchy and inflamed skin
• Managing dermatitis, an inflammation of the skin
• Helping to heal lichen planus, an itchy rash that can appear anywhere on the body
• Reducing skin inflammation in corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses

• Always ensure your hands are clean before touching the lotion.
• Gently wash the affected skin area with a mild soapless cleanser.
• Apply a thin film of the amount of lotion to the affected area.
• Rub the lotion gently into your skin until it is fully absorbed.

The activity of this lotion is attributed to two active ingredients:

Its function involves inducing proteins known as lipocortins that inhibit phospholipase A2, an enzyme involved in producing inflammation mediators such as prostaglandins and leukotrienes. By preventing the release of arachidonic acid, which is a precursor for these mediators, clobetasol propionate reduces inflammation and relieves symptoms associated with skin disorders.
• Salicylic Acid (3%): Acting as a keratolytic agent, salicylic acid helps soften and loosen dry or thickened skin, facilitating easy shedding. It enhances moisture in the skin and dissolves the intercellular cement that holds skin cells together. This action promotes skin exfoliation, unclogs pores, and aids in healing skin lesions.
