It contains doxycycline, an antibiotic that works by preventing bacteria from multiplying and spreading in the body. Take it with a full glass of water, and remain upright for some time afterward to avoid throat irritation. Complete the full course as prescribed, even if you feel better early.
Since this medicine can increase sensitivity to sunlight, using sunscreen and avoiding prolonged sun exposure while on treatment can help prevent skin reactions.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have liver problems, are pregnant, breastfeeding, or if this medicine is being considered for a child under 8 years, as doxycycline is generally not recommended in these situations.
