Betacard 25 Tablet 14 is used to manage high blood pressure, angina and certain types of irregular heartbeat. It is a single-ingredient beta-blocker that slows the heart rate and reduces the workload on the heart. It contains atenolol.

This medicine is also used long term to improve recovery and reduce the risk of further heart problems after a heart attack.

Regular moderate exercise, a diet low in salt and saturated fat, maintaining a healthy weight, limiting alcohol and quitting smoking can support heart health alongside this medicine.

Before starting, tell your doctor if you have asthma, a very slow heart rate, diabetes, or poor circulation in the hands and feet, and about all other medicines you take. This medicine may mask some signs of low blood sugar in people with diabetes.
