CompositionAztor 80 Tablet is used to manage high cholesterol and triglycerides and lower the risk of heart disease and stroke. It is a single-ingredient statin medicine containing atorvastatin.
It lowers harmful LDL cholesterol, raises HDL cholesterol and reduces the risk of heart attack and stroke in adults with several risk factors for coronary heart disease. It is also used in familial hypercholesterolaemia in adults and children over 10 years old. Take it exactly in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor, and continue it for the recommended duration.
Eat less saturated fat by cutting down on fried food, ghee and butter, add fibre through vegetables, dal and whole grains, stay physically active and limit alcohol.
Before starting, tell your doctor about any existing health conditions, particularly liver problems, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Ask your doctor about use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Report unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness promptly. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
