CompositionAugmed 625 Tablet is used to treat moderate to severe bacterial infections of the respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin, soft tissues, bones, joints and teeth. It is also used to help clear H. pylori infection in people with peptic ulcer disease, including infections caused by bacteria resistant to standard penicillin antibiotics.
It contains amoxicillin, which kills bacteria by weakening their cell walls, and clavulanic acid, which protects amoxicillin from being broken down by resistant bacteria. Take the tablet at the start of a meal to improve absorption and reduce stomach side effects. Complete the full prescribed course, even if you begin to feel better, to help prevent bacterial resistance from developing.
Eating small, regular meals alongside your doses, staying well hydrated, and including probiotic foods such as yoghurt in your diet may help ease stomach discomfort during antibiotic treatment.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have a known allergy to penicillin, a history of liver problems linked to amoxicillin-clavulanic acid, or if you are taking blood-thinning medicines. Contact your doctor if you develop a skin rash, persistent diarrhoea, or signs of an allergic reaction.
