Arkamin 150 Tablet 30 is used for the following:

• Managing high blood pressure (hypertension)

Follow these instructions while taking Arkamin 150 Tablet 30:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

• Try to take it at the same time each day for best results.

• Continue taking this medicine regularly, even if you feel well.

• Never stop taking this medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor.

Arkamin 150 Tablet 30 contains Clonidine (150 mcg), which works on the body as follows:

• Alpha-2 receptor stimulation: Clonidine activates specific receptors in your brain called alpha-2 receptors, which helps reduce the activity of your sympathetic nervous system (the part of your nervous system that controls your "fight or flight" response).

• Blood vessel relaxation: By calming your sympathetic nervous system, this medicine causes your blood vessels to relax and widen, allowing blood to flow more easily throughout your body.

• Heart rate reduction: The medicine decreases your heart rate, which combined with the relaxation of blood vessels, effectively lowers your blood pressure.

• Sympathetic outflow decrease: Clonidine reduces the signals from your brain that would otherwise cause your blood vessels to constrict and your heart to beat faster.
