Arkapres 150 Tablet 10 is used in adults to manage high blood pressure, and may also be used to help prevent migraine headaches and to ease menopausal hot flushes.

Uses of Arkapres 150 Tablet 10 are:

• High Blood Pressure: Helps lower and control blood pressure.
• Migraine Prevention: Helps prevent migraine headaches.
• Menopausal Hot Flushes: Helps reduce hot flushes during menopause.

Follow these instructions while taking Arkapres 150 Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

• Try to take it at the same time each day for best results.

• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.

• Continue taking this medicine regularly, even if you feel well.

• Never stop taking this medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor.

Arkapres 150 Tablet 10 contains Clonidine (150 mcg), which works on the body as follows:

• Alpha-2 receptor stimulation: Clonidine activates specific receptors in your brain called alpha-2 receptors, which helps reduce the activity of your sympathetic nervous system (the part of your nervous system that controls your "fight or flight" response).

• Blood vessel relaxation: By calming your sympathetic nervous system, this medicine causes your blood vessels to relax and widen, allowing blood to flow more easily throughout your body.

• Heart rate reduction: The medicine decreases your heart rate, which combined with the relaxation of blood vessels, effectively lowers your blood pressure.

• Sympathetic outflow decrease: Clonidine reduces the signals from your brain that would otherwise cause your blood vessels to constrict and your heart to beat faster.
