Cyproheptadine (2 mg): This is an antihistamine and antiserotonergic agent. It works by blocking serotonin in the hypothalamus region of your brain. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that usually suppresses appetite; by blocking its function, cyproheptadine helps stimulate appetite.
Sorbitol (2 gm): Sorbitol acts as a sugar substitute and syrup base in the formulation. Additionally, it functions as an osmotic laxative, helping prevent or relieve constipation that may occur with the use of cyproheptadine.
Tricholine Citrate (275 mg): This is a lipotropic agent that aids in removing fat from the liver. It does so by eliminating bile acids from your body which converts cholesterol into bile acids, thereby reducing cholesterol levels. This mechanism might indirectly enhance appetite.
