Alergin L Tablet 10

Alergin-L Tablet is used to relieve allergy symptoms such as sneezing, a runny nose, watery eyes, and itchy skin in adults, and to help manage chronic urticaria.

Uses of Alergin-L Tablet are:

• Allergic Rhinitis: Relieves sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes, and nasal irritation caused by seasonal or year-round allergies.
• Chronic Urticaria: Reduces hives and persistent itching associated with chronic skin allergies.
• Skin Allergy Relief: Helps ease itching and rash caused by allergic skin reactions.

Here's how you should take Alergin-L Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Do not chew or crush the tablet before consuming it.
• You can take this medicine with or without food.
• Do not exceed the dose prescribed by your doctor.

Alergin-L Tablet is taken orally.

Alergin-L Tablet contains levocetirizine (5 mg) which performs the following functions:

• H1-Receptor Antagonist: Levocetirizine works by blocking histamine, a chemical messenger involved in allergic reactions, from attaching to the H1 receptors in your body. This stops the histamine from causing inflammation and other allergic symptoms.
• Reduces Inflammation: By inhibiting the effects of histamine, levocetirizine helps to reduce inflammation in the body, alleviating symptoms such as itching and hives.
• Long-Acting: Levocetirizine has a long half-life, which means it continues to work in your body for many hours after taking the dose. This allows for once-daily dosing, making it more convenient for you to manage your allergy symptoms.

• Store Alergin-L Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.
• Keep it in a dry place, away from excessive moisture and direct light.
• Ensure the medicine is securely out of the reach of children.
• Always check the expiry date before use, and only use Alergin-L Tablet if it's within its valid period.

• If you're battling allergic rhinitis, consider reducing your intake of allergenic foods such as nuts, shellfish, or dairy products. These could potentially exacerbate your symptoms.
• As Alergin-L Tablet is often used to manage chronic idiopathic urticaria (a skin condition that causes hives), it might be beneficial to wear loose-fitting clothing. Tight clothes can sometimes trigger hives by causing friction on the skin.
