Zita Pio Tablet 15

Zita-Pio Tablet is used for managing type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. You should not chew or crush it.

• This medicine can be taken with or without food.

• Remember to take the tablet at the same time every day for consistent blood sugar control.

• Never exceed the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

• Don't stop taking this medicine without speaking to your doctor first.

Zita-Pio Tablet is taken orally.

Zita-Pio Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Pioglitazone (15 mg): As a thiazolidinedione, pioglitazone interacts with certain receptors in the cells. This interaction enhances insulin sensitivity in muscles, fat tissue, and the liver, thus improving glucose uptake and utilisation.

• Teneligliptin (20 mg): Teneligliptin functions by inhibiting a specific enzyme known as DPP-4. This enzyme usually breaks down certain hormones that help regulate blood sugar levels. By inhibiting DPP-4, teneligliptin prolongs the activity of these hormones, leading to increased insulin secretion and reduced release of glucagon, another hormone involved in blood sugar regulation. This action is dependent on the presence of glucose in your bloodstream, thereby preventing excessively low blood sugar levels.

• Store Zita-Pio Tablet at a temperature below 30°C.

• Keep the medicine away from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Always keep the product out of reach of children.

• Remember to check the expiry date and use the medicine before it expires.

• Aim to consume a balanced diet with controlled sugar intake.

• Regular physical activity is also important. Try incorporating at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise, like walking or cycling, into your daily routine. This can help improve your body's insulin sensitivity.
