Zeptol 100 Tablet is a medicine used to manage epilepsy and control recurrent seizures. It is also prescribed for managing nerve pain conditions, including trigeminal neuralgia (severe facial nerve pain) and diabetic neuropathic pain.
It contains carbamazepine, an anti-epileptic medicine. Take it with food as prescribed, swallowing the tablet whole with water. Continue taking it for the full duration advised by your doctor, as stopping anti-epileptic treatment abruptly can trigger rebound seizures.
Maintaining regular sleep patterns and managing daily stress support seizure and nerve pain control. Avoiding alcohol is important, as alcohol can increase drowsiness and trigger seizure activity.
Before starting treatment, disclose any history of heart disease, liver or kidney problems, bone marrow depression, or blood disorders. Inform your doctor immediately if you develop a fever, sore throat, unexpected skin rash, easy bruising, or unusual mouth ulcers.
