Zefu 250 Tablet 10

Zefu-250 Tablet is used to treat respiratory tract infections such as bronchitis, pneumonia, and tonsillitis. It also helps manage urinary tract infections (UTIs), skin infections, and uncomplicated gonorrhoea. This antibiotic provides relief by targeting and eliminating infection-causing bacteria.

Here's how you should take Zefu-250 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole using a glass of water.

• Do not chew or crush the tablet.

• Always take the medicine with food to improve its absorption and minimise stomach discomfort.

• Never exceed the recommended dose unless your doctor advises otherwise.

• If you think about stopping the medicine, talk to your doctor first.

Zefu-250 Tablet is taken orally.

Zefu-250 Tablet contains cefuroxime (250 mg) which works in the following ways:

• Bacterial Cell Wall Synthesis Inhibition: Cefuroxime acts by binding to and inactivating penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), which are located on the inner membrane of the bacterial cell wall. PBPs play a crucial role in forming peptidoglycan chains that give strength and rigidity to the bacterial cell wall.

• Inducing Cell Lysis: By interfering with the cross-linkage of peptidoglycan chains, cefuroxime weakens the bacterial cell wall causing cell lysis leading to death of bacteria.

• Store Zefu-250 Tablet at a room temperature below 25°C.

• Protect from moisture and extreme heat.

• Keep out of reach and sight of children.

• Ensure you use the medicine before its expiry date

• If you have a respiratory tract infection, try to avoid smoking or exposure to second-hand smoke, as it could aggravate your condition.

• For urinary tract infections, increase your water intake. This can help flush out the bacteria causing the infection.
