Zefcort 6 Tablet 10

ZEFCORT 6 Tablet is used in adults and children to reduce inflammation and to manage a range of autoimmune and immune-related conditions.

Uses of ZEFCORT 6 Tablet 10 are:

• Arthritis: Reduces inflammation and pain associated with certain types of arthritis.
• Asthma and Severe Allergies: Manages asthma and severe allergic reactions.
• Inflammatory Bowel Disease: Helps control flares of inflammatory bowel disease.
• Skin and Eye Disorders: Used for certain inflammatory skin and eye conditions.

To use Zefcort 6 Tablet 10 correctly, follow these steps:

• Take Zefcort 6 Tablet 10 exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually in the morning with food.
• Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not crush or chew it.
• Take it at the same time each day.
• Do not stop taking it suddenly or change the dose on your own. After regular use, the dose usually needs to be lowered gradually, and stopping abruptly can make you unwell. Always ask your doctor first.

Zefcort 6 Tablet 10 is taken by mouth (orally).

Zefcort 6 Tablet 10 contains Deflazacort 6 mg, a steroid medicine. It works in a few ways:

• It blocks the body chemicals that cause inflammation, easing swelling, redness and pain.
• It suppresses an overactive immune system, which helps in conditions where the body attacks its own tissues.
• Together, these actions reduce inflammation in different parts of the body.

• Store Zefcort 6 Tablet 10 below 30°C, in a dry place away from light and moisture.
• Keep it out of the reach of children.
• Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.
• Return any unused or expired medicine to your pharmacist for safe disposal.

• Maintain bone health. This medicine can weaken bones over time, so include calcium and vitamin D (such as dairy or fortified foods) in your diet and do regular weight-bearing exercise such as walking.
• Monitor your weight and blood sugar levels. It can increase appetite and raise blood sugar levels, so follow a balanced diet and limit sugary and very salty foods.
• Try to avoid people with infections, and tell your doctor promptly if you develop a fever, signs of infection, or feel unwell, as this medicine may reduce your body's ability to fight infections.
