Xyzal M Tablet is used to manage chronic allergy symptoms such as a runny nose, sneezing, watery eyes and itching. It helps relieve allergic rhinitis and chronic hives, and is used as an add-on treatment to help manage asthma.
It contains levocetirizine, an antihistamine, and montelukast, a leukotriene receptor antagonist, which together help reduce the allergic response in the nose and lungs. Take the tablet as prescribed, at the same time each day, with or without food.
Reducing exposure to known allergy triggers such as dust, pollen and pet dander, and keeping indoor spaces well ventilated, can help lower the frequency of flare-ups. Using an air purifier may also help in homes with persistent allergy symptoms.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any kidney or liver problems, or are taking other medicines. Contact your doctor if side effects become bothersome, but do not stop treatment suddenly without medical advice, particularly if you are taking it for asthma.
