Volix Trio 1 Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults

• Enhancing control of blood glucose levels

• Complementing diet and exercise regimes for better diabetes management

• Providing initial therapy for treatment-naïve patients with inadequate glycemic control

• Assisting patients not optimally controlled on metformin or glimepiride monotherapy

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• Take this medicine with your first main meal to minimize potential stomach discomfort.

Volix Trio 1 Tablet contains three active ingredients:

• Glimepiride (1 mg): As a sulfonylurea, glimepiride triggers insulin release from the pancreas. It binds to specific receptors on cells in the pancreas, triggering a sequence of events that leads to insulin release. This helps in reducing your blood sugar levels.

• Metformin (500 mg): Metformin belongs to a class of medicines known as biguanides. This results in a decrease in your blood sugar levels.
