Voglistar GM1 Tablet ER is used to manage blood sugar levels in adults with type 2 diabetes, helping to reduce the risk of complications such as nerve, kidney and eye damage.

Uses of Voglistar GM1 Tablet ER are:

• Type 2 Diabetes: Helps control blood sugar levels when other treatments are not enough.
• Complication Prevention: Reduces the risk of nerve damage, kidney problems and vision problems linked to poorly controlled diabetes.

Proceed as follows to take Voglistar GM1 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Refrain from splitting, crushing, or chewing the tablet.

• Always take the medicine during your meal, preferably breakfast.

• Do not exceed the prescribed dose without consulting your doctor.

• If you wish to stop taking this medicine, always consult your doctor first.

Voglistar GM1 Tablet is taken orally.

Voglistar GM1 Tablet contains three active ingredients that work together to control blood glucose levels:

• Glimepiride (1 mg): This ingredient is a sulfonylurea that stimulates the pancreas to release more insulin, thus reducing blood sugar. It works on your pancreatic beta cells to increase insulin production.

• Metformin (500 mg): As a biguanide, metformin reduces glucose production in your liver, decreases intestinal absorption of glucose, and enhances insulin sensitivity by increasing glucose uptake and utilisation in your body.

• Voglibose (0.2 mg): Voglibose, an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor, slows down the breakdown and absorption of carbohydrates from your intestine after meals. This action helps to prevent spikes in your blood sugar levels after eating.

• Keep Voglistar GM1 Tablet in a cool and dry place, ideally at a temperature not exceeding 30°C
