Vidaglo Tablet 10 is used to manage type 2 diabetes in adults by helping to control blood sugar, including after meals, which lowers the risk of long-term diabetes problems such as kidney damage and nerve pain. It contains vildagliptin, a DPP-4 inhibitor.
On its own, this medicine carries a low risk of causing sudden drops in blood sugar.
A balanced, portion-controlled diet, regular activity and weight management support better blood sugar control alongside this medicine, and routine monitoring with regular eye and foot checks supports long-term care.
Before starting, tell your doctor about any liver disease, and about all other medicines you take, as liver function tests are usually recommended. Report yellowing of the skin or eyes, severe stomach pain or persistent vomiting. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, tell your doctor.
