It contains telmisartan, an angiotensin receptor blocker that relaxes the blood vessels, and chlorthalidone, a thiazide-like diuretic that removes excess salt and water. Together they lower blood pressure.
Take it daily as prescribed, and keep taking it even when you feel well. Reducing salt and staying active support control.
Do not use it in pregnancy. Tell your doctor about any kidney problems, gout or diabetes before starting. Regular blood tests check your kidneys and body salts. Report marked dizziness, fainting or muscle cramps.
