Tropan 5 Tablet is used to manage overactive bladder symptoms such as urinary urgency, increased frequency of urination, and urge incontinence, where urine leaks before reaching the toilet. By calming bladder muscle activity, it helps improve bladder storage capacity, reduces discomfort, and allows better control over urination.

Here's how to use Tropan 5 Tablet properly:

• Follow the dosage and timing instructions provided by your doctor precisely.

• Do not change or exceed the prescribed dose without consulting your doctor.

• Consult your doctor before discontinuing the medication; do not stop taking it without their guidance.

• Adhere to the dietary recommendations given by your doctor.

Tropan 5 Tablet is taken orally.

Tropan 5 Tablet contains oxybutynin (5 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• An Antagonist of Acetylcholine: Oxybutynin acts against acetylcholine, a substance that transmits signals in our nervous system. It specifically targets those located on the detrusor muscle of the bladder – a muscle that contracts during urination.

• Relaxation of Bladder Muscles: By targeting these receptors, oxybutynin helps relax the bladder muscles. This reduces involuntary contractions and increases bladder capacity.

• Reduction in Urge Incontinence: As a result of this relaxation, there's a decrease in episodes of urge incontinence wherein there's a sudden, uncontrollable need to urinate.

• Spasmolytic Effects: Oxybutynin also has direct spasmolytic effects, meaning it helps alleviate spasms or sudden, involuntary muscle contractions in the bladder.

• Store Tropan 5 Tablet at room temperature, ideally between 15°C to 30°C.

• Keep the medicine in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.

• The container should always be tightly closed.

• Remember to keep Tropan 5 Tablet out of the reach of children.

• Ensure you use this medicine before its expiry date.

• Since bladder conditions can be aggravated by dehydration, ensure you drink plenty of water daily. However, avoid consuming large quantities of liquids in a short span to prevent frequent urination.

• Limit your intake of caffeinated drinks like tea and coffee as they can stimulate the bladder and increase urinary urgency.
