Tropan XL 5 Tablet is used to manage an overactive bladder in adults, controlling urinary urgency and frequency, and reducing episodes of urge incontinence caused by sudden bladder contractions.

Uses of Tropan XL 5 Tablet are:

• Overactive Bladder: Manages symptoms of an overactive bladder.
• Urinary Urgency and Frequency: Reduces the sudden, compelling urge to urinate and the need to urinate often.
• Urge Incontinence: Helps manage involuntary leakage of urine linked to a sudden urge to urinate.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not chew, divide, or crush the tablet.

Tropan XL 5 Tablet is taken orally.

Tropan XL 5 Tablet contains oxybutynin (5 mg), which acts on your body in the following ways:

• Muscarinic Receptor Antagonism: Oxybutynin works by opposing the action of a type of protein called muscarinic receptors, especially the M3 subtype, found on certain muscles in your body.

• Reduces Involuntary Contractions: By acting against these receptors, oxybutynin decreases involuntary contractions of your bladder muscles, easing symptoms like frequent urination.

• Increases Bladder Capacity: As oxybutynin relaxes your bladder muscles, it allows your bladder to hold more urine before you feel the need to empty it.

• Delays Urge to Urinate: By increasing bladder capacity and reducing involuntary contractions, oxybutynin helps delay the initial urge to urinate.

• Store the Tropan XL 5 Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 25°C.

• Keep this medicine in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
