New Triglucored Forte Tablet is used to manage type 2 diabetes in adults when treatment with fewer medicines is not enough. It is a combination medicine containing glibenclamide, a sulphonylurea; metformin, a biguanide; and pioglitazone, a thiazolidinedione.
Glibenclamide stimulates insulin release, metformin reduces glucose production by the liver and improves insulin sensitivity, and pioglitazone improves the body’s response to insulin. Together, these actions help lower blood sugar.
Eat meals at regular times, keep portions of rice, roti and sweets under control and stay physically active. Keep glucose tablets or sugar with you.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have heart failure, or liver or kidney problems, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Learn to recognise and treat low blood sugar. Report swelling, sudden weight gain or breathlessness. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
