Tizan 2 Tablet is a muscle relaxant medicine used to treat and manage acute, painful muscle stiffness, spasms, and localised rigidities. It is commonly prescribed to restore physical comfort and functional flexibility in individuals suffering from severe neurological disorders such as multiple sclerosis, chronic spinal cord injuries, or traumatic back pain strains.
It contains tizanidine, which belongs to a class of medications called central alpha-2 adrenergic agonists. It works by entering the central nervous system and directly decreasing the transmission of specific nerve impulses that command skeletal muscles to tighten and contract involuntarily, thereby soothing persistent spasticity. It should be taken consistently.
To optimise your structural musculoskeletal recovery, perform low-impact exercises, physical stretching routines, or targeted physiotherapy sessions under strict medical supervision. Applying local warm packs or resting comfortably during acute spastic episodes can also help diminish structural muscle stiffness naturally.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have a history of severe liver disease, kidney impairment, or low blood pressure. Avoid consuming alcohol or performing activities requiring alertness, as this tablet causes considerable drowsiness and dizziness. It is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
