THYROACTIV 125 TABLET 100 is used for the following:

• Treatment of hypothyroidism

• Replacement therapy after thyroid gland removal

• Management of enlarged thyroid glands

• Treating certain types of thyroid cancer

• Restoring normal energy levels in thyroid deficiency

• Supporting proper metabolism in hypothyroid patients

• Hormone replacement in thyroid dysfunction

• Suppression of thyroid-stimulating hormone in cancer patients

Follow these instructions while taking THYROACTIV 125 TABLET 100:

• Take this medicine daily on an empty stomach.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• Take it in the morning, 30-60 minutes before breakfast.

• Keep a gap of at least 4 hours between this medicine and supplements.

• Consult your doctor if you have questions about using this medicine.

THYROACTIV 125 TABLET 100 contains Thyroxine (125 mcg), which works on the body as follows:

• Hormone replacement: Thyroxine is a synthetic version of the naturally occurring thyroid hormone (T4) that replaces missing thyroid hormones in the body, restoring normal energy levels and metabolism in patients with hypothyroidism.

• Metabolic regulation: It helps control how quickly your body uses energy, affecting nearly every organ in your body, including how your heart beats and how your digestive system works.

• TSH suppression: In cases of thyroid cancer, thyroxine reduces the secretion of thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) from the pituitary gland, which can slow down the growth of thyroid tumours dependent on this hormone.

• Goitre reduction: By providing adequate thyroid hormone levels, it reduces the stimulation of the thyroid gland, helping to decrease the size of an enlarged thyroid (goitre).

• Store THYROACTIV 125 TABLET 100 at room temperature below 25°C.

• Keep the medicine protected from heat, light and moisture.

• Always store in the original container with the lid tightly closed.

• Keep out of reach of children and pets.

• Do not use the medicine after its expiry date.

• Consistent meal timing: Try to take your meals at the same times each day to help maintain steady thyroid hormone levels and support your metabolism.

• Calcium spacing: If you take calcium supplements, consume them at least 4 hours before or after taking THYROACTIV 125 TABLET 100, as calcium can reduce thyroxine absorption.
