Tenvir L 300/300 Tablet is used to treat HIV-1 infection as part of combination antiretroviral therapy in adults, adolescents, and children weighing at least 30 kg.
It contains tenofovir disoproxil fumarate 300 mg and lamivudine 300 mg, two nucleoside/nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs) that work together to block HIV replication. Take it as prescribed at the same time each day, with or without food. Strict daily adherence is essential to prevent viral resistance; never skip doses.
Regular HIV viral load and CD4 count monitoring, kidney function tests during treatment, attending all follow-up appointments, and using safer sex practices all support management alongside this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any kidney problems, liver disease, or hepatitis B co-infection. Do not stop without medical advice, as abrupt discontinuation in patients with hepatitis B can cause severe liver flares. Tell your doctor about all other antiretroviral medicines. Speak to your doctor before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
