Temsan Am Tablet 15

Temsan-AM Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing high blood pressure or hypertension

• Reducing the risk of cardiovascular complications in hypertensive patients

• Managing blood pressure when it cannot be adequately controlled with either S-amlodipine or telmisartan alone

Here are some guidelines on how to take Temsan-AM Tablet :

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• This medicine can be taken with or without food.

Temsan-AM Tablet is taken orally.

Temsan-AM Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Telmisartan (40 mg): This component belongs to the class of angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs). It selectively binds to and blocks angiotensin II type-1 (AT1) receptors. This action inhibits the constrictive and aldosterone-secreting effects of angiotensin II, leading to dilated blood vessels, reduced retention of sodium and water, and decreased blood pressure.

• S-Amlodipine (2.5 mg): This ingredient acts as a calcium channel blocker. It works by blocking the flow of calcium ions into the vascular smooth muscle cells and the heart's muscle cells. This relaxes your blood vessels, reduces resistance to blood flow, and consequently lowers your blood pressure.

• Keep the medicine in a dry place, away from direct light and moisture.

• Store at room temperature, ideally below 25°C.

• Ensure to keep the medicine out of the reach of children.

• Use it before its expiry date.

• Cut down on your salt intake, as high sodium levels can increase blood pressure, making your medication less effective.

• Regular physical activity such as walking, cycling, or swimming can help lower your blood pressure and ensure the medication works efficiently. Always consult your doctor before starting any new exercise programme.
