CompositionTemsan-AM Tablet is a combination medicine used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults. It is prescribed when blood pressure is not sufficiently controlled by single-medicine therapy. Effective blood pressure control reduces the burden on the heart and arteries, significantly lowering the risk of stroke, heart attack, and progressive kidney damage.
It contains S-amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker, and telmisartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker. S-amlodipine relaxes arterial smooth muscle, while telmisartan blocks the hormone that narrows blood vessels, together promoting smoother blood flow. Take the tablet with or without food as prescribed. Continue taking it regularly even if you feel well, as high blood pressure usually has no outward symptoms.
Adopting healthy lifestyle habits supports blood pressure control. Maintain a low-salt diet, exercise regularly, control body weight, manage stress, and avoid tobacco and excess alcohol intake as advised by your doctor.
Inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems, heart failure, or are taking other blood pressure medicines. Temsan-AM Tablet should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Regular blood tests to monitor kidney function and potassium levels may be advised.
