CompositionAsomex-TM Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure in adults. It combines S-amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker, with telmisartan, an angiotensin receptor blocker, and reduces the risk of cardiovascular events like heart attacks and strokes, especially in patients whose blood pressure isn't controlled by single medicines.
S-amlodipine relaxes and widens blood vessels, while telmisartan blocks the action of a hormone called angiotensin II, further relaxing blood vessels, together giving more complete blood pressure control than either medicine alone.
Take this tablet daily, with or without food, at the same time each day as your doctor prescribes, and continue even if you feel well.
Tell your doctor if you have kidney disease, and your doctor may check your kidney function periodically during treatment. Tell your doctor if you notice significant swelling of the ankles or feet, and tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning pregnancy.
