Telmikind Ln 40/20 Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Treatment of essential hypertension

• Management of high blood pressure

• Reduction of cardiovascular risk

• Prevention of heart attacks

• Prevention of strokes

• Decreasing workload on the heart

• Improving blood flow throughout the body

• Relaxation of blood vessels

• Lowering peripheral vascular resistance

Follow these instructions while taking Telmikind Ln 40/20 Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• You may take this medicine with or without food.

• Take this medicine at the same time each day for best results.

Telmikind Ln 40/20 Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Telmikind Ln 40/20 Tablet 10 contains two active ingredients:

• Cilnidipine (20 mg): This component is a calcium channel blocker that prevents calcium from entering the muscle cells of your heart and blood vessels. By blocking calcium entry, it helps blood vessels relax and widen (a process called vasodilation), which reduces resistance to blood flow and lowers blood pressure.

• Telmisartan (40 mg): As an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), this ingredient works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a natural substance that causes blood vessels to narrow. By preventing this narrowing effect, telmisartan allows blood vessels to remain relaxed and open, helping to reduce blood pressure.

• Store at room temperature not exceeding 30°C.

• Keep the tablets in their original packaging to protect them from moisture and light.

• Do not expose to excessive heat or direct sunlight.

• Keep out of reach of children.

• Check the expiry date and do not use this medicine after it has expired.

• Reduce your salt intake by limiting processed foods and not adding extra salt to meals, as high sodium consumption can worsen high blood pressure (hypertension).

• Engage in regular moderate exercise like brisk walking for 30 minutes most days, as physical activity helps lower blood pressure and improves the effectiveness of blood pressure medicines.
