Telista Plus 20 Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing high blood pressure when accompanied by elevated cholesterol levels

• Reducing high cholesterol, which helps to prevent serious heart conditions

• Lowering the risk of severe cardiovascular events such as heart attack and stroke

• Decreasing the amount of cholesterol and other fatty substances in the blood

• Helping children and teenagers aged between 10 to 17 who have familial heterozygous hypercholesterolemia. This is a genetic condition that leads to high cholesterol levels because the body can't remove cholesterol normally

Here's how you should take Telista Plus 20 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• It's not advisable to crush or chew this tablet.

• Always take this medicine as per your doctor's recommendation.

• Don't suddenly stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Telista Plus 20 Tablet is taken orally.

Telista Plus 20 Tablet is a combination medicine consisting of two active ingredients.

• Atorvastatin (10 mg): This is a cholesterol-lowering agent. It works by inhibiting an enzyme in your body known as HMG-CoA reductase, which is involved in the synthesis of cholesterol. By blocking this enzyme, atorvastatin reduces the levels of bad cholesterol, triglycerides, and other lipids in your blood while increasing the levels of good cholesterol.

• Telmisartan (20 mg): This is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a substance that narrows blood vessels, leading to high blood pressure. By preventing the binding of angiotensin II to its receptors, telmisartan causes the blood vessels to relax, thereby reducing blood pressure.
