Telista-CH 40 Tablet 10 is used for the management of high blood pressure (hypertension), lowering the risk of cardiovascular events such as heart attacks and strokes. It also helps reduce fluid retention or oedema associated with congestive heart failure, manages fluid accumulation in liver cirrhosis, and addresses water buildup related to kidney disorders such as nephrotic syndrome.

Follow these instructions while taking Telista-CH 40 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• The medicine can be taken with or without food.

• Try to take it at the same time each day for consistent effect.

The Telista-CH 40 Tablet combines two active constituents that work in unison but effectuate their function through different mechanisms:

• Telmisartan (40 mg): This component selectively prevents angiotensin II from binding to AT1 receptors in your blood vessels and tissues. By doing so, it blocks the vasoconstrictor and aldosterone-secreting effects of angiotensin II. The result is vasodilation, or the widening of blood vessels and a decrease in blood volume, ultimately lowering your blood pressure.

• Chlorthalidone (12.5 mg): Primarily acting on the kidneys, chlorthalidone increases the excretion of sodium, chloride, and water from the body. This action reduces fluid load and blood volume, which decreases cardiac output and leads to a drop in blood pressure. Additionally, it aids in relaxing blood vessel walls.
