Telista-CH 40 Tablet is a combination medicine used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by a single medicine. It helps reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke in people with persistently raised blood pressure.
It contains telmisartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker that relaxes the blood vessels, and chlorthalidone, a diuretic that helps the kidneys remove excess fluid from the body. Together, these lower blood pressure effectively. Take it as prescribed by your doctor, preferably in the morning. Continue taking it even when you feel well, as high blood pressure often has no symptoms. Do not stop suddenly without consulting your doctor.
Reducing salt intake, exercising regularly, maintaining a healthy weight, and limiting alcohol are important lifestyle measures that support blood pressure control alongside this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any kidney or liver problems, low potassium levels, or are taking other medicines. Your doctor may check your kidney function and electrolyte levels periodically during treatment. This medicine is not suitable during pregnancy and should be stopped immediately if pregnancy is confirmed.
