CompositionTazloc Trio 80 Tablet is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults whose blood pressure is not well controlled on two medicines. It is a combination medicine containing telmisartan 80mg (an angiotensin II receptor blocker), amlodipine (a calcium channel blocker) and hydrochlorothiazide (a thiazide diuretic).
Telmisartan and amlodipine relax and widen the blood vessels, while hydrochlorothiazide helps the kidneys remove extra salt and water. Together they lower blood pressure in three different ways. Take it once a day, preferably in the morning, with or without food, and continue even when you feel well.
Cutting down on salt, eating plenty of fruit and vegetables, staying active, keeping a healthy weight and limiting alcohol support blood pressure control. Protect your skin from strong sunlight.
Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy, as it can harm an unborn baby; tell your doctor straight away if you become pregnant. Before starting, tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver disease, gout, diabetes, lupus, low sodium or potassium, a sulfa medicine allergy, or a history of skin cancer, and about other medicines you take, especially lithium, potassium supplements and painkillers. Your doctor will check your kidney function and blood salts. Contact your doctor if you have extreme thirst, muscle cramps or weakness, dizziness or fainting, or sudden eye pain or reduced vision. Also report marked ankle swelling. Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
